I thought this would be a challenge but it didn’t come out too bad. The color correction was the easiest to do, had a little challenge with restoring the wall but I think the hardest part was removing the creases on my mother face. I won’t get into all the details but thank god for photoshop.

My favorite painting. I didn’t know what to paint for my class and my teacher gave me the freedom to paint whatever I want. When you are staring off into the distance, something will give you a bolt of inspiration. Not really, haha! I just looked out the 2nd floor window and started painting.
Landscape painting (2003)
It’s been a while, I don’t know where to start so here goes. I remember painting this for my final and my teacher asked me what do you see and I said peace, my teacher was like why? Where do you see that? He said it was all dark, gloomy and depressing. I told him when I play my guitar, I’m at peace plus I told him it was my painting and that is what I see and feel. I was very surprised when he said that to me, I figure for being a painter himself you can interpret the artwork how ever you want. He was great painter but I don’t think he knew how to teach, there was a lot of things we disagreed on and it discouraged me from continuing on to the next painting class or paint for really long time.

My friend sent me a link to a speed drawing challenge, I always like drawing quick warm-up sketches, but I never timed them before.
The rules are simple – each artist picks their favorite character and sketch it three times by hand in 10 minutes, 1 minute, and 10 seconds. Push your limits and see what you can come up with.
A fun little exercise for any artist.

Here's a drawing I did of Death on the enlight app. I'm glad how this turned out and to think I was going to delete the enlight app because I didn't know what to do with it.
The enlight app really makes my drawings pop. It's funny that I was going to leave this drawing alone after I inked it. This might be a possible cover for Cruel Melody's new EP
I like it when DC comes out with a cover for you to draw on because it gives me a chance to do my own variant cover.
