The second half of the mural is coming along. I thought the trees were bothering me but I think it may be the water. 🤷🏽♂️ Maybe I should of added some color to the mural but I think its fine in black and white. Big improvement compared to the other day.
Second Half Mural Struggles
I don’t know why but I’m having a hard time with the second half of the mural, the trees aren’t coming out they way I want them to be.
Rest In Peace Uncle Frankie
It wasn’t easy getting that phone call that you passed away today, you were the main reason why I wanted to play the guitar. You gave me my first classical guitar and my first acoustic guitar(I know what you are thinking, what’s the difference and my uncle and I could tell you, there’s a difference). I’ll miss the days when we would meet up during the holidays and talk nothing but guitars, you would always ask, so what did you buy this week? I didn’t know how hard this would hit me until I told my father that you passed. Rest easy Uncle Frankie, until we meet again. I miss you so much. 😢
The Mural Continues
This will be a continuation to the most recent mural, to be continue…. Almost done, it’s coming along, I thought I would be done today but I don’t want to rush it.

Almost finished with this mural, a little tweaks but all in all it’s pretty much done.
Why So Serious?
Nine years ago today, my nephew asked me to draw Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight on his guitar. I think I surprised myself that I was able to draw Heath Ledger. I wish I can ask my nephew if I can tweak it a bit but he already sealed the guitar with a protective coating. Fun little project.
Mural Painting Update
After I got done with the the second painting(you can see the image below the mural), I kept thinking to myself, I wish I would of painted the water differently in the mural. Long story short, she’s letting me fix the water in the mural. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can start on the water.
My First Guitar
I still remember when my uncle gave me this guitar, I was probably 7 or 8. I never asked him when he got it or if this was his first guitar. 🤷🏽♂️ I know this guitar had seen some better days, I learned a lot from this acoustic, basically I stripped her down, filed the bridge because I thought it was great idea to superglue it down when I was young. Gave it a fresh coat of paint and put some new strings. It doesn’t sound the best but it still plays. I’ll always be thankful that my uncle gave me this guitar.
2011 Painting Updated
I was never crazy about the painting I drew in 2011. This painting has a peaceful vibe, it looks a lot better now. Plus I was trying something different with the painting.
Batman 2022
I did an updated version of 2013’s Batman painting. I don’t have the 2013 Batman painting anymore, I donated that painting to be auction off at comic book store for someone’s medical bills. Same thing with the Joker painting, I donated that as well. I hoped it helped pay for some of their medical bills.

It didn’t take long to update this painting, I think it pops out more and I updated the video without using YouTube.
Running Again
Wednesday was my first run since I rolled my ankle two weeks ago. It felt good to run again, I was nervous the whole time because I kept thinking I was going to roll my ankle. Since I couldn’t run, I added a lot more Nike NTC workouts to my marathon training, that seemed to helped out a lot.
New Painting
Wanted to do something different, painted this on a black canvas.
The Sore Ankle
Still a little sore but it looks and feels better than before. Haven’t ran since it happened, taking it easy but I’m hopeful I can run this weekend. I’m so lucky that I didn’t tear my achilles or break my ankle.🤞🏼
Damn! That Hurts and now it’s bruised.
Well, I rolled my ankle, I think I might of sprained it. It sucks because I had such a great run yesterday and just before I rolled my ankle, I was making great strides and I kept thinking to myself what can go wrong 🤷🏽♂️😂. A fellow runner saw me roll my ankle and asked me if I was ok, I told her I think so and I don’t think it was broken. She kept telling me I feel bad and I should help you because she told me she is a nurse. I reassured her I can put weight on my foot and make it to my car. It was really nice of her to be concerned about me. Now it’s swollen and hopefully it gets better in a few days. 🤞🏼
6-19-22 Now my ankle is bruised, a nice little set back with my marathon training. 🤷🏽♂️
6-20-22 Went to the Doctors to get an X-Ray and the Doctor and I were surprised that I didn’t break or fractured anything. I got lucky but I will see if it gets any better in a couple of weeks.
Another Painting at Pekoe & Bean
I stopped by my local coffee shop called Pekoe & Bean in Tinley Park, I knew my painting would be displayed but I wanted to see it for myself. It feels good to see this in person.
Midlothian Music Project Update
Even though it’s a little different, that’s ok, it made me happy to see my work displayed somewhere.
Batman Cover Fixed
My nephew had my cover drawing hanging up and I never liked it, it always looked like Batman had an oversized five-head. I think it looks better now.
Solider Field 10
It’s great to run this race again, I was better at this race compared to the half marathon I ran two weeks ago. Running five of the Solider Field 10 miler, I was surprised I only stopped to walk once, a first and I didn’t cramp up like I usually do. Even though I ran almost the same time as my first 10 miler, I felt great running this race compared to my first 10 miler. Three live races and two virtual 10 milers, marathoner training has officially begun.
Sold A Painting
A first, I sold a painting the other day. I had the piece hanging at Pekoe & Bean in Tinley Park. I was shocked when they told me I sold the first image below, really made my day. I brought them another painting so they can hang it at their shop. I wish I can thank the person who bought the painting, I’m still blown away someone bought a piece of my work.
